About Cooper Young
Cooper Young Tennessee is an eclectic, hip, and historic neighborhood in the Midtown section of Memphis, Tennessee. Cooper Young Tennessee is full of some of Memphis's best cafes, specialty shops, bars, art galleries, restaraunts, boutiques, coffeehouses, antique shops, and music venues. This part of the city also has some of the most beautiful historic homes all of Memphis. Cooper Young Tennesee has become the place for artistic bohemes to gather in Memphis, and is truly a unique travel destination. The name of the neighborhood comes from the district's location at the intersection of Cooper Street and Young Avenue.
And of course, Cooper Young Tennesee is home to the much-anticipated Cooper-Young Festival. Every year in September, the Cooper-Young Festival brings in locals from across Tennesee and tourists from across the country. The street festival begins with a four mile run, and always has live music. This year is the 22nd year that the Cooper-Young Festival will be held, and every year, the festival is bigger and better with more musicians and artists traveling from across the country to be there. There are two music stages and a ton of booths. So don't miss out on all the great food, as well as the wealth of artistic handmade goods!
