Babalu Tapas & Tacos - Overton Square

Overton Square was one of Memphis's original entertainment districts. It was also home to the first TGI Friday's franchise outside of New York City. In May 2014, Babalu brought new life to the old Friday's location with the grand opening of Babalu Overton Square.

Stained glass windows pay homage to the Friday's era, in addition to original exposed beams and 16 foot high ceilings. Outdoor seating and roll-up garage doors enhance the beachy, Latin vibe. Today, Overton Square is once again transforming itself into an entertainment mecca.
