Description
The Cupboard Restaurant was established in 1943. It has been a Memphis favorite for almost 70 years. Charles Cavallo purchased The Cupboard in 1992. Charles owned a successful produce company for 10 years prior to buying The Cupboard. After 57 years, on April 1, 2000, the original Cupboard moved to its current larger location down the street at 1400 Union Avenue. This location offers the same fine food plus additional seating and more convenient parking. The Cupboard Restaurant has been a favorite of visiting celebrities to Memphis for many years. They also enjoy down-home cooking and are often tired of "road food". The Cupboard is the perennial winner of culinary awards. The Memphis Magazine Restaurant Guide has honored The Cupboard with First Place in the "Best Down-Home" category. The Memphis Flyer has voted the restaurant First Place for "Best Down-Home/Soul Food". The Cupboard guarantees your satisfaction, or the owner, Charles Cavallo, will make it right on the spot. Come in today and try the delicious daily specials or the best breakfast in Memphis, served all day, everyday. Between 7am-11am breakfast is ONLY $4.99!
